In which a boiler breaks
Once upon a Tuesday, a tenant in Ancoats found the boiler cold. Instead of a dozen calls, she opened Grin, picked "Heating", added a photo and pressed send. The landlord, the contractor and the tenant could all see the story unfold.

Tenancy agreements, gas safety records and inventories live in one tidy library. Everyone sees what they should, and nothing more.

This notice explains how CHESHIRE CAT ESTATES LTD ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit cheshirecatestates.xyz, contact us, use our products or work with us. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Where a landlord or agent uses Grin to manage tenancies, they are usually the controller of tenant data and we act as their processor under a data processing agreement. Photos should not show people where avoidable.
3. Sharing
We use trusted processors for hosting, email, payments and accounting, under contracts that require them to protect your data. We do not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
Where data leaves the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to 12 months if no contract follows. Customer and accounting records: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as UK law requires. Other data only as long as needed for the purposes above.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. Email admin@cheshirecatestates.xyz; we respond within one month.
7. Cookies and third-party content
This website does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts load from Google Fonts and images from a third-party image service (LoremFlickr, serving Flickr Creative Commons photos); these providers receive your IP address when content loads.
